Daman Joshua has just been fired from his job with Severn Trent Water - for publicly condemning the Hamas atrocities on the company intranet.
It is vital that we let Severn Trent Water CEO Liv Garfield know that we condemn this assault on free speech.
Dear Liv Garfield
As a British citizen who condemns terrorism, I am aghast that you have fired Daman Joshua for rightly referring to Hamas as 'a group of violent and disgusting terrorists' on the company intranet.
The British government officially designates Hamas as a proscribed terrorist organisation as you must surely know.
Would you have fired him for saying this about the terrorists who murdered people here in Britain in July 2005?
Presumably not.
The only difference between the terror attacks here and those in Israel is that the latter impacts mostly Jews.
Thus the message you are sending out with your appalling treatment of Daman Joshua is that you feel terror attacks on Jews are justified and cannot be condemned.
Hamas has the same ideology as Isis, Al Queda, Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah. Only the names differ - not the ideologies and aims.
The official Hamas Charter calls for the slaughter of Jews and states, unequivocally that 'no negotiated settlement' with Israel can ever happen and that 'only Jihad' will be the answer.
You are hopefully aware that your company is now being universally condemned across social media, and rightly so.
Sincerely
